Surah al-Ma'arij ayah 39

Kalla inna khalaqnahum min maa ya'lamun

By no means! Surely We have created them from (a thing) they know

The following is an excerpt of commentary on this ayah, from Tafsir Ibn Kathir:

This is a reference to the "despised water" (semen) mentioned in Surah al-Mursalat ayah 20 and the "water gushing forth" mentioned in Surah at-Tariq ayat 5-10
