Surah al-Muzzammil ayah 9

Date: June 23, 2003 | 21 Rabi al-Akhir 1424 Hijriah

Rabb al-mashriqi wa al-maghribi laa ilaha illa huwa fa ittakhidh hu wakil

Lord of the east and the west. There is no god but Him. So take Him as a trustee

The following is an excerpt of commentary on this ayah, from Tafsir Ibn Kathir:

He is the Owner and Controller of affairs in the eastern regions and the western regions. He is the One except whom there is no deity worthy of worship. Just as you single Him out for worship, you should also single Him out for reliance. Therefore, take Him as a guardian and trustee
