Clark on Iraq again

Video - The interviewer opens with a mention of Clark's Washington Post editorial, then lets Clark speak his piece. Clark says that the situation is getting worse as it goes on and will only become more difficult to solve. He talks about the importance of diplomacy and talking with Iraq's neighbours and having a genuine dialogue (these are points he has been emphasizing again and again). There needs to be good U.S. leadership on the ground, for example ambassadors, which there wasn't until recently. It doesn't matter so much when the constitution is signed, what's important is what it says and helping it to be consistent with human rights and democracy. Clark recites the Bush talking points, and notes how far we are from that and are struggling to achieve much more minimal goals.

Clark Quote

Don't we owe it to ourselves to be all that we can be as a people of faith? To reach out and offer hope and opportunity to the least among us? To preach peace and prosperity and to live equality and justice? (source)
